Guest guest
> Do you have any special goals for this spring season? > [gardening, cleaning, dietary changes, weightloss, exercise, > simplifying, etc] 1. Gardening ~ just a little in containers. Arugula and some herbs. 2. Cleaning ~ i need to do this BAD! i want to go through cupboards and shelves to clear out the clutter and give " stuff " away to freecycle or goodwill. 3. Exercise ~ i plan to go walking every day with my fat little JRT. She just loves to go on walks and now that the weather is nice she really needs to. > Also, this coming Saturday is Earth Day! How do you plan to > make it memorable and/or keep the spirit of Earth Day alive > in your life throughout the year? Every day is Earth Day! Recycle, re-use, and simplify. ~ pt ~ Make time for stillness, silence, and solitude. The world can be noisy, and we are subject to all kinds of noises nearly every waking hour. We are also often " on the go " and unable to relax. Being alone in a peaceful place and making time for quiet can help you stay in touch with yourself. ~ DailyOM

[gardening, cleaning, dietary changes, weightloss, exercise, simplifying, etc] Yes, all of the above. I want to plant my container garden, work in my flower beds, mulch, start a compost pile (even tho my HOA doesn't allow it), get my house back in shape by cleaning, de-cluttering, organizing, and doing repairs (I need to replace a chandelier and my disposal died 3 days ago, so I'm gonna try to replace it myself). I'm about to try to go back on the no sugar and dairy diet that makes me feel so much better. I also want to walk more and continue doing yoga several days a week. > Also, this coming Saturday is Earth Day! I don't have any plans for Earth Day, but I do recycle and re-use all year round.

I'd like to try going through a stack of easy salad recipes in the files, pasta, grain, bean types and take those for lunch to work with me. Weightloss? Nah, it took a long time to break the jeans in just the way I like them, I don't want to start with another size. (:- ) Donna

As I continue in the process I find it easier and easier to let go of things I once thought immutable. Maintain consistency in my exercise. I am really enjoying lifting weights, and would like to see some significant improvement in strength over the next month or so. Also in cardio. I got a heart rate monitor for Christmas and I've been lax - need to get it out and use it!! Continue with the sugar reduction. It'd be nice to get a job too. :-) > Also, this coming Saturday is Earth Day! How do you plan to > make it memorable and/or keep the spirit of Earth Day alive > in your life throughout the year? We'll probably be hiking. :-) We also try to use as little as possible, simplify/reduce our buying, and recycle as much as possible. It's easier, often, to just not buy things in the first place....
