Guest guest
This is something i crave a lot during the winter months; rather comfort food-ish. Easy Cabbage Saute 1 head cabbage, chopped into ribbons 1 large onion, finely chopped 3 cloves garlic, minced 3 Tbs. olive oil 1/2 cup no-chicken broth 1 to 2 Tbs. poppy seeds Seas salt and ground pepper to taste Malt vinegar [optional] In a large soup pot or wok, heat olive oil and quick saute the cabbage, onion, and garlic just until crisp-tender and starting to soften. Lower cooking heat and add the broth. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes or until heated through and veggies are as you like them. Before serving, toss the poppy seeds together with the vegetables. This is wonderful served over wide flat noodles that have been " buttered " with a vegan margarine like Earth Balance brand. [or use regular butter if you are lacto-veg] Sprinkle your serving with malt vinegar if you like it ~ i love it! ~ pt ~ Since 'tis Nature's law to change, Constancy alone is strange. ~ John Wilmot
