Guest guest
I think my tendency to eat while standing up is from when the kids were small and that was the only way I could get anything eaten. I had to get up so many times to get things for them, wipe up spills, mouths, etc that I couldn't sit for more than five seconds so I learned to eat on the run. When I realize that I am eating standing up now or walking around I kick myself. I think I tend to overeat doing that too. Somehow never satisfied when I am finished eating but certainly sloshing. But too if there is no one else around at the time it feels even lonelier to eat sitting down by myself and eating on the run feels like it is just a snack. linda
Guest guest
There are times when I eat standing up in a hurry (those times you wish you could just take a Jetson's cartoon pill and it be a meal) and I really don't mind it because I know I'm getting it out of the way. I am the same as you in that I enjoy food but I eat to live and not live to eat. However, I must say that I do have my times when I just want to sit down by myself and eat peacefully (even if it is just a simple sandwich) without the phones ringing, the knocks at the door or someone needing something. When I'm in that zone that is the most important time to me to just veg for 20 minutes without interruption. If I'm interrupted I'll get very cranky and that throws everything off. LOL. S. Oh, what is " sloshing " ? On 2/9/06, linda <> wrote: > > I think my tendency to eat while standing up is from when the kids were > small and that was the only way I could get anything eaten.
