Guest guest
Hello! I'm Raven. I'm a new veggie. I've tried it before, and was successful for one year and then quit, but now I'm back on the wagon. I recently watched a DVD from PETA that talked about the meat industry. It was hard to believe my eyes. Is that real? In any case, it sufficiently grossed me out enough and disturbed me enough that I tossed out what little meat I had in the house and decided to try again. I gained weight last time I tried it, which is what made me give it up. I'm not sure if it's all the carbs or if it's because I don't feel as full when I eat vegetarian so I eat more. In any case, I've added protein drinks to my menu in hopes that the protein will make me feel full without overeating or going back to meat. Regards, Raven Talk is cheap. Guest guest
Be careful with to much protein. Too much will leach calcium from the body and you will pee out your calcium. That is one of the reasons, cow milk, which is high in protein, doesn't give us the calcium benefit that veggies that are loaded with calcium do. Welcome. You can do this. Eat whole grains in cereals, breads, etc... Drink lots of water(64 oz per day) and veggies and fruit that are full of fiber and you won't feel hungry. It really does make a difference. Guest guest
I'd be really interested in any studies you know of that would confirm this: protein vs calcium Thanks Samantha Be careful with to much protein.
