Guest guest
LOL I've washed fresh spinach in bunches up to 5 times in the sink and still had grit... I don't have this problem with any other greens. I have a great salad spinner btw and lol it isn't a old pillow case. Here is the one I have. I love it. http://tinyurl.com/jlpd9 Judy - strayfeather1 Tuesday, September 19, 2006 8:11 PM Re: Purchasing pre-packaged salad fixin's. LOL I have the same model salad spinner but I keep mine on the front porch hehehehe. I make a big salad base which is the greens, celery, onion & grated carrot which I keep in a bag with a couple paper towels then on the day I want salad, I add the wet/tender things that won't keep: tomato, cucumber, mushroom, etc to my dish. The salad base keeps a week, sometimes 10 days though I usually eat it up before that. I never buy bagged greens either. Peace, Diane , K9ChemoNurse wrote: > > Lynn, > I agree with you!
