Add some protein to them with tofu, tvp, edamame, even buy some plain protein powder if you think you need it, and add these before you puree. Squash soup is wonderful and full of vitamins. I know also raw foodists will juice greens - maybe you can cook and puree them, if he likes greens? (Or maybe you have a juicer too?). Good luck! My prayers are with you for the recovery! Guest guest
HI Kristi: Sorry to hear that your husband has been in the hospital for the last 2 months, however happy to hear that he is coming home. You can make him fruit smoothies using silken tofu, fruit, soymilk or fruit juice. Place it the blender and blend away until it is smooth. You can also melt chocolate chips, and pour over silken tofu that is in your blender, blend until well mixed and then chill and you have chocolate mousse. Hope these help.
