Guest guest
From Gourmet Sleuth: " Cardamom (frequently misspelled and mispronounced " cardamon " ) is the common name for certain plant species native to India and southeastern Asia, and for their aromatic seeds. The true cardamom has large leaves and white flowers with blue stripes and yellow borders; it grows to about 3 m (about 10 ft) in height. The fruit is a small capsule with 8 to 16 brown seeds; the seeds are used as a spice. " I've found Cardamom is used extensively in Indian, Asian, and Scandanavian cooking. It's delish in everything from Basmati rice to coffee cake. I even throw a couple seeds in when I make a pot of coffee. Guest guest
Oh, honey!! I have stainles posts too, and a tea kettle, and a couple thermos containers, and a coffee cup, and...... You get the picture!! lol. The other material I have a thing for is bamboo. I have all sorts of bamboo utensils (they hold up much better than other wood, that most wooden utensils are made of). Recently I ate at a friends house for a pot luck, and he had bamboo plates!! Lighter than paper, but sturdy, and reusable. Now I need to find those!!!! rofl.
