Guest guest
Mine is a different brand and so has screwtop lid, and it is hard to see the La Chinata lid from the photos on the net. Could you use a small coin or the flat blade of a palette knife? Guest guest
You're a genius, Christie! I hadn't thought of using the tip of a knife -- worked like a charm. And BTW they all smell very, very different from chipotle powder -- I think I'm going to have lots of fun with these! Sherry Re: Smoked Paprika -- lids? Guest guest
You are welcome - we still have some of this archaic form of packaging over here in Britain and as your spices were Spanish I guessed they might be similar. You have fun with those. I shall need to get myself a selection like yours when I am in Spain in September. It is so exciting. I feel personally responsible for starting a small culinary revolution amongst vegetarian cooks across the USA! Christie , Sherry Rose <sherry wrote: > You're a genius, Christie! Guest guest
I love the old tins as packaging. Reminds me of G'ma's cupboard I was sad when Old Bay went to plastic bottles.
