Smoked Paprika -- lids?

Mine is a different brand and so has screwtop lid, and it is hard to

see the La Chinata lid from the photos on the net. Could you use a

small coin or the flat blade of a palette knife?

You're a genius, Christie! I hadn't thought of using the tip of a

knife -- worked like a charm. And BTW they all smell very, very

different from chipotle powder -- I think I'm going to have lots of

fun with these!

You are welcome - we still have some of this archaic form of packaging

over here in Britain and as your spices were Spanish I guessed they

might be similar. You have fun with those. I shall need to get myself

a selection like yours when I am in Spain in September.

It is so exciting. I feel personally responsible for starting a small

culinary revolution amongst vegetarian cooks across the USA!

I love the old tins as packaging. Reminds me of G'ma's cupboard :) I

was sad when Old Bay went to plastic bottles.
