Guest guest
Actually one of my favorite too-lazy-to-really-cook meals is a soft of bad mac & cheese. The recipe came from Minute Rice at a time when curry powder was the most exotic spice in the cabinet (1970's or so). I still make it, though I use brown rice now. to make it, cook the rice, add grated cheddar cheese, salt and curry powder. It's not creamy at all; the cheese melts and gets stringy, and sticks to the fork and the back of your teeth. But it's a great stand-by confort food. My sister and I will still laugh about it, not in front of her though. She really gets mad if you do. Donna Marilyn Daub 08/09/06 11:40:55 Re: Question of the Week I got Yes, macaroni and cheese!! Did you ever have a dish your mom cooked so often that you actually hated that food? My husband can't stand cooked cabbage. His mother's house always smelled of cooked cabbage. So, if kohlrabi has a slight cabbage flavor...he won't touch it. Funny, cause he loves cabbage slaw. sue ---- Donnalilacflower 08/08/06 09:43:19 Question of the Week I got one here kohlrabi It's great grated in salads. You can cut in slices and steam. It has a slight cabbage flavor. Now go get some and serve it to your husband.LOL I haver not tried the kohrabi tops, I'm curious but I better find out if they are piosonous first. Guest guest
I used to hate my school lunches the week after Easter. We had a huge Easter egg hunt in our yard since we had 6 siblings and cousins. My mom would make egg salad sandwiches every day or deviled egg or something like that. I hated them all and especially the egg salad.
