Guest guest
Hi PT Courgette is indeed zucchini Marrow is a larger version which you possibly call marrow squash or vegetable marrow Aubergine is eggplant Coriander is cilantro Green onions, scallions and spring onions seem to be synonomous. These are some of the ones I get confused about in recipes. The Cook's Thesaurus is an excellent site for finding out more about ingredients. Guest guest
Thank you for answering my question, Christie. i prefer to call eggplant aubergine; the word eggplant has always conjured up a stinky sulfur smell in my mind, even though i know they don't smell bad and are called eggplant because of the shape. ~ pt ~ All great truths are simple in final analysis, and easily understood.Ê If they are not, they are not great truths. ~ Napoleon Hill ~~~*~~~*~~~> , " christie_0131 " <christie0131 wrote: > > Hi PT > Courgette is indeed zucchini > Marrow is a larger version which you possibly call marrow squash or > vegetable marrow > Aubergine is eggplant > Coriander is cilantro > Green onions, scallions and spring onions seem to be synonomous. > These are some of the ones I get confused about in recipes.
