After reading about such conditions , I told my father (who was raised on a farm) that I'd rather eat a happy cow. I've since come to think " Why eat a cow at all " . I'll eat the stuff cows (or other animals) would eat and eliminate the middleman (without eliminating the middleman), so to speak.
