Guest guest
Hi Erin, I work at home so I never " brown bag " it. But if I did, I'd buy one of those nifty Bento containers. It would be fun to figure out how to fill it up and it helps with portion control (one of my personal issues - you mean two huge bowls isn't one portion???) It would make me feel so pampered and well-fed. I'd get this one here, but, of course, I have no need to, so I haven't: http://www.amazon.com/Zojirushi-Stainless-Steel-lined-Lunch-Silver/dp/B000246GSE\ /sr=8-1/qid=1158169668/ref=pd_bbs_1/103-6562884-9440634?ie=UTF8 & s=home-garden (If you can't load this, go to amazon.com and enter " Mr. Bento " in the search field.) It's particularly good if you like to eat Asian style. Read the reviews and you'll see why. Not available on amazon at this time but check out their website. I bought my daughter 2 10 oz stainless steel containers to take to school in her lunch. She can take a hot item plus milk. Lines are very long there - besides I can send her with organic milk. She loves it. Debbie
Guest guest
.. I like to take leftovers and just heat in the microwave... Homemade burrito's are great to reheat in the microwave also. We love falafel 's on wraps with avacodo slice, lettuce tomato and onions and veganaise, We put the lettuce, tomato and onion in a seperate container and add just before eating, so they don't get soggy. We love to take soups/chili and just reat. Also taking a white potato or sweet potato and baking in the microwave at work when time to eat is great... Take toppings for a white potato in a seperate container. I don't add anything to a baked sweet potato and eat it like an apple, so nutritious and yummy... You can also cook at ear of corn in the microwave.... So good. I wrap in a damp paper towel Salads with dressing and any dry toppings, like crutons, baco bits, cheese in seperate zip lock bags... Guest guest
When I first joined this group, someone posted a link for the vegan lunchbox. Most of the recipes are affordable. Most look good to eat. All are healthy. Her presentations will make you the envy of the school. I want her as a second mom. Whip out the tablecloth and candles. www.veganlunchbox.com Try different things on sandwiches like guacamole, garlic cilantro oil, sauerkraut, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. GB , " Erin Shoemate " <eshoemate wrote: > > Dear all: > > I'm a teacher, and my schedule has changed so that I will have to > start taking my lunches to school.
