Guest guest
I was raised in the country side by a European English/Irish family and never experienced any type of 'ethnic' food . We were raised on wild game and 'farm food' which was milk, cheese,'taters and garden veggies. When I was a teenager ,I visited an Italian friend's home and her grandmother prepared dishes from her home country of Sicily. It was my first taste of diferent spices and garlic and I was hooked. Garlic and onions became a part of my life. My next taste sensation was 'Mexican' food and it has become my favorite 'ethnic' food. I have Hispanic friends who have taught me about spices and hot peppers and I am in love with this type of food. Now I will try everything but my favorite remains 'Mexican'.
