Guest guest
Hi everyone, this is a rather belated intro, sorry. My name is Michelle, I'm from Australia, 39 and extremely busy right now. I work in child care, have been studying for my first level certificate (which I will finish tomorrow) and am starting my own natural skincare business. (I would be happy to discuss that privately as I don't want to appear to be spamming). And I'm also studying vibrational medicine. I was veggie a few years ago, but ultimately gave it up because I just didn't have enough information about how to sustain the lifestyle and was quite confused about the whole " gotta combine for protein " debate. Well, about 2 months ago I did a minor detox and out went the meat, coffee, etc etc. So I am mostly veg (occasionally eating fish at the moment) as I take the time to learn about being veggie properly. I live with my partner and we plan to have our first child next year. I want to conceive this child and have it develop in a completely vegetarian mother, hense my wanting to learn properly. Other stuff which may be of interest, I enjoy art, photography, am easy going, will be taking an exam in 2 months to be a JP (JPs are different in Australia to the USA) and when all that is settled down, I plan to study to become a marriage celebrant. I love travelling and plan to take up scuba diving next year. Well from all of this, I guess you can see that I need to keep my mind active! lol I have enjoyed getting the digest mails and reading through them. I know when I feel ready, I will enjoy trying many of the wonderful recipes. Michelle.
Guest guest
Glad that you joined us! Welcome. Don't worry about food combining, not required nor is it necessary even if you were a vegan. If you are getting enough calories to maintain the weight that you want and aren't eating most of those calories in junk food then you will have absolutely no problem. Food combining went out a long time ago. The only thing is that if you aren't eating eggs, or dairy then you wouldn't be getting B-12 and would need to take a supplement for that, (unless you are into eating dirt) but since you are vegetarian you don't need to worry there either. Just sit back, eat a wide variety of foods and enjoy. But that eating a wide variety of foods thing should be for everyone, veggie or not. However, right now I am stuck on kale and asparagus, but I hate celery so I just know that others will tell me that that hatred will shorten my life by five years. <grinning> linda " Michelle Abrahmz " <skinessenceaustralia > I was veggie a few years ago, but ultimately gave it up because I just didn't have enough information about how to sustain the lifestyle and was quite confused about the whole " gotta combine for protein " debate.
