Guest guest
Hi Marilyn, I looked at all the CSA programs in my area and found one that works out to $17.50/week for a small share, http://www.whistlingtrainfarm.com/. I paid $350 up front in February and started picking up my organic vegetables at the local farmer's market in June. This week in my box I got: 1 bunch carrots 1/2 pound green beans 2 large patty pan squash 3 small sweet onions 2 pickling cucumbers 1 bunch dill 1 bunch sorrel 1 bunch chard 1/2 pound broccoli florettes This farm also allows rs to come out to their fields for U- Pick peas, beans and flowers when available, for no additional charge. I've been really happy with the veggies so far and am trying to save up my money for a winter subscription. Hope this helps you get a program started in your area.
