No worries, I can still see the outside world (no bins unfortunately) from the inside of my cave. Just be grateful PT didn't suggest we take the good stuff and run. You two would use me like that! How dare thee!! <grinning> No random acts of kindness today! Y'alls presence was kindness enough. ---- Seriously though, I wonder how much it takes to get accustom to that freegan thang. I mean, the hands-on part. There would be certain items I can deal with but certain I probably couldn't. At my local grocers, I've seen several times a large mobile bread shelving unit (and even grocery carts at times) full of bakery items. I can tell that it is ALL waste. They have the items in clear plastic bags and you can tell it is moments away from being discarded. I suppose that wouldn't be too bad if the bags weren't punctured. I suppose fruit with skin such as oranges and bananas wouldn't be such a bad thing (aren't those the only types that travelers should eat in other countries such as Mexico). I don't know - I'd probably give it a go with other more experienced freegans. If you two still want to go with me then of course the gentleman that I am (yah roight) I'll have to suggest - " Ladies First " . You two give it a go and let me know what you come up with and let me know what is good. Then (to quote Linda) you show me yours and I'll show you mine. S.
