Cascadian pickles

I don't know how far across country people can get Cascadian products, but they

have organic and so we use them as much as possible for a number of things.

However, we were in doubt about the pickles since they list " natural flavoring "

on the label which most often means an animal by-product. I finally remembered

to write to them and ask and this was their response for those of you interested

in either making sure that your food stuff, either vegetarian or vegan don't

contain an animal ingredient but looking for organic pickles. Cucumbers are very

contaminated with the pesticides and such used to grow them. I don't know why

they do that...when I have grown them in the past they have grown like the

proverbial weed.

Dear Ms. Clark:

Thank you for contacting Cascadian Farm with your inquiry.

No animal sources are used for any of the flavors of the Cascadian Farm pickle

products.

We hope you find this information helpful. Please let us know if we can help

you again.

>Originated by Consumer The " natural flavorings " listed in the ingredients for

Cascadian Sweet Pickle Relish and the baby dills and kosher dills comes from

what source? We are vegan and the term " natural flavoring " usually means it is

from an animal by-product. Accurate information concerning the source of your

" natural flavorings " is very important to us. We purchase a lot of your products

but haven't bought the pickles due to the " natural flavoring " ingredient. We

have noted that the bread and butter pickles do not list natural flavoring in

their ingredients. Thank you so much! :
