Guest guest
I eventually did remember that it was to replace anchovies and then promptly forgot that too...thanks for the reminder. I will go look at my dressings and find that little sucker if it kills me. Glad that you all have affirmed it is my snout causing the problem and not the cardamon (it was my spell checker that came up with the " m " on the end of the word...didn't seem right, but Webster went from card to cardboard,) so I had to trust the spell checker. Smart ass! LOL Also glad that cardamon is a nice smelling spice 'cause I was beginning to think you all had a terrible sense of taste. Tongue buds ya know. (by the way, just tried to send this and it still wants me to put an " M " on the end of cardamon) linda " Amy Must be the bleachsnout. Cardamom (aka cardamon) is a wonderful, warm-smelling spice. Vaguely sweet, not as sharp as cinnamon... The capers were going in a dressing in place of anchovies, I think.
Guest guest
No, original idea sounds better. Cardamon, capers, and buckwheat. Coward! <snorkle> linda " Whatever you do will be insignificant and it is very important that you do it. But I > just got back from the shops proudly bearing a packet of unroasted > buckwheat which I have been searching for all week, and I have > absolutely no idea what I had intended to make with it. Perhaps we > could cobble something together with my buckwheat and your capers > and cardamom... ooooh.... NO. buckwheat and capers, maybe, or buckwheat and cardamom... but definitely not capers and cardamom.

Actually, I had a roommate/friend who insisted if you like any two food items, you will like them together. The worst I could think up on the spur of the moment (and that I had in the house) was dill pickle dipped in melted chocolate. He insists it was good; I just can't imagine trying it.
