Guest guest
Are you there for a temporary time frame? Will you be there much longer? I can't even begin to imagine being without all my fruits and vegetables, grains and so on. Maybe you could stuff the cabbage leaves, you can put almost anything in them. Sending you the best. ~GeGee~ , Douglas Anderson <djandersonza wrote: > > Angola is a country on the West Coast of Africa, just above Namibia and below the Congo. The one problem with this place is that next to nothing is available, apart from meat. Fruit seems to be okay, except you never know what you will get. Recently I have had only apples and pineapples, previsously it was only oranges. Bread, although a staple here, is also difficult to purchase as generally speaking, when I leave work all the shops have sold their supply of bread. Meat is the one thing they do not lack. But I have been lucky enough to get some cabbage, and frozen vegetables, garlic and an onion. > > Melissa <mapalicka wrote: Soup? some kind of veggie cakes/fritters, though that would involve potatoes or > flour...where exactly is Anghola? > > , Douglas Anderson <djandersonza@> > wrote: > > > > While not technically a vegetarian (I do enjoy my fish) I do love vegetables. Guest guest
I love cole-slaw, so have cut up the leaves and grated in some apple and a little cheese, added mayonaise, and have an interesting coleslaw. Stuffing the leaves sounds like a good idea. In fact, might go to teh dollar shop and get some of that instant MSG laden rice (if available) and stuff the leaves with that and peanuts. Thanks brilliant idea. As for my length of time here, well, I was supposed to be here two weeks, now it is getting onto four, and looks as if I will be here another three at least. chilifrenchfries <chilifrenchfries wrote: Are you there for a temporary time frame?
