Dear Marilyn,

 

The dry form has lots of salt preservative and not the same as the canned

ones :)

But I may rinse it and give it a go :)

Who knows, it may turn out nice :)

You can cook them up in the dried form and freeze them. See my recipe from

Thank you for going to all the trouble of asking your friend,

Marilyn. I think my post to Wee must have been misleading. The black-

eyed peas are not the problem. It was black beans which Wee was

looking for in tins and which I have been unable to locats, except

in dried form.

You can give them plenty of rinsing during the cooking, Wee.
