Guest guest
I had a laugh when I read this, Donna - I found myself wondering if the vegan book was little used ie seldom or if it was a small second hand book or indeed a small book that was used often! Written language can be so misleading when you can't hear where the emphasis lies, LOL. All joking aside, this looks well worth a try as these honey substitutes (agave syrup, brown rice syrup, maple syrup etc) are fairly pricey. Thank you Donna. I have been steadily eating my way through all the non-vegan contents of my cupboards and freezer intending to have a dairy-free kitchen for when I get back from my holiday in Spain. Then I realised I was feeling too stressed out about it all. I have been vegetarian for over 38 years and another month is not going to make much of a difference. I need more time to source vegan ingredients. My 2 nearest whole food shops both recently closed within 2 weeks of each other and vegan internet shopping possibilities seem a bit limited over here, so I must do more research. I also realised that I need to take the time to try out more vegan recipes for treats as I think that might be where I might fall down. A lot of the food I already eat is vegan, but it is the puddings, ice cream, chocolate bars etc for which I need to find vegan replacements. So during October I shall be inching towards becoming fully vegan and aim to achieve this in time for World Vegan Day which I believe is November 1st. Guest guest
Good luck on your transition, Christie. Definitely take your time. I had the same " must-eat-this-all-as-quickly-as-possible " attitude. It made for a fun final weekend though when I allowed myself to finish up the remaining yogurts and homemade creme fraiche! -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , " christie_0131 " <christie0131 wrote: > > I had a laugh when I read this, Donna - I found myself wondering if > the vegan book was little used ie seldom or if it was a small second > hand book or indeed a small book that was used often!
