Just a reminder now that hurricane season and possibly the Avian Flu is

almost here. Check out our files under 'Emergency Readiness' to see if

you have the necessary food and survival items that you will need for

your family .

As our public health director says " it is our reponsibility to help

take care of ourselves and each other and not expect/count on outside

help " .

Also carry an emergency pack in the trunk of your car. You never know

when you will be stranded for hours at a time.

Smiles and hugs

Fill the vehicles up with gasoline, too!!! Also bring in a supply of

drinking water.

Canned foods are good in case of loss of power. A regular can opener in

case all you have is an electric one.

Yep, we are in MD awaiting lots of rain. Have our gas

for generators should they be needed.

Just filled up my car this evening and got sump hoses

for are extra emergency sump. Would you believe the

contractors who were going to do our roof called today

to reschedule because they were coming out tomorrow.

They had forgotten to tell me that. Even knowing you

had it in the works to come home to find your roof

torn off would be a bit shocking. Hope they can make

it next week. Then we will be set for winter.
