Guest guest Posted September 16, 2006 Report Share Posted September 16, 2006 I'm not a vegegarian, but really appreciate the benefits of incorporating more veggies into my diet and have a lot of respect for those who choose to be vegetarians. Having said that, I try hard to avoid " empty calories " (a phrase used by a nurse during a recent hospital stay). I have noticed that some of the recipes posted are pretty heavy on the butter (or margerine), other oils, and sugar; those I would avoid or at least try to minimize! I'm very calorie concious and keep track of every calorie that I eat. I've lost almost 50 pounds in the last year, and its staying off. -- James P.
