So I guess they put fake butter on it instead of real butter. Ovo-lacto: biscuits, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw and mashed potatoes. At least they are according to the kfc page. Guest guest
Before i stopped eating eggs and dairy I used to eat KFC's mac & cheese, corn on the cob and potato wedges. I don't actually eat their anymore - except that there is a KFC/Taco Bell down the street from my work and I get bean burritos with lettuce, tomato, onion and salsa no cheese. They have a machine there where you pick what you want and what don't want on your burritos. I like that a LOT so much better than telling someone you don't want cheese on your bean burrito and them saying you don't want beans on your bean burrito back to you. UGH. Guest guest
I wonder what is wrong with the potato wedges. I used to eat those - I had no idea. I never really paid much attention to what was in foods until I started to go vegan. It really irritates me to know so much of what I took for granted would be vegetarian wasn't. argh. I've been backsliding into non-veganess of late. Just limited food choices in situations. I only brought up if the KFC Gravy was vegetarian since I wouldn't think it would be and people were talking about eating it and other gravy. Guest guest
The potato wedges are fried in the same shortening as the chicken. Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been a member for a while, but I have never posted. You have a lot of interesting topics and this one I felt I need to share. Unfortunately, I used to work at KFC when I was in high school. There is NOTHING vegetarian about their gravy. After cooking the chicken in the hot oil, they drain it and save the drippings (for lack of another term) to make their gravy. And because I never really introduced myself, our whole family is vegetarian. We live in Allen, TX. My three children have never knowingly had meat. My husband and I have been for about 15 or 16 years. I have printed some of the receipes and can't wait to try them. Sherry
Guest guest
I don't eat anything from KFC. But that's a personal thing.
