Guest guest
Swiss Chard with Apples and Dried Cherries I found this recipe on the net its was realllllly yummy, we goobled it up and wished I for seconds. it feed 5 of us. 8 cups Swiss chard leaves, approx. 2 bunches 3 cloves garlic, crushed 2 tbsps. olive oil 1 fresh ripe apple, cored and diced 1/4 cup dried cherries 1 tsp. salt Begin by rinsing the Swiss chard leaves thoroughly and removing the fibrous center spine. Roughly chop the leaves into 2 inch strips. Heat the olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, apple and dried cherries and warm through. Next, add the chopped Swiss chard leaves and stir. Turn heat down to low and cook for 3 minutes to begin to wilt the chard. Season with salt, stir and continue to cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes until the chard is fully wilted. Taste for seasoning, adjust if necessary, and serve.
