Being Vegetarian

Being Vegetarian to me is 'being aware'. Awakening to the understanding

of life and respecting all life. That includes plants.

I am never offended by other's food choices because I know that each of

us are at our own level of understanding.

Personally I cannot stand the thought of eating 'flesh'. It seems

abnormal and cruel to me.

However my guy friend has a ranch and raises cattle. These cattle are

range fed but I am aware of their final destination and it saddens me.

Not so much the 'final' destination but the act of getting there.

I have been a Vegetarian for 25 years and before that ate only chicken

and fish. I was raised on wild game and from an early age respected

the 'giving of life' to sustain another life form. Like many I am

thankful for the plants that give me life.

Blessings

Deanna
