LINDA - re garlic twister--garlic hands

Has anyone here ever tried the stainless steel trick to get rid of the

garlic odor on your hands? After I cut garlic and wash my hands, I just

rub my fingertips back and forth on my stainless steel sink. Then I dry

them. Seems to work better than just the washing. I've read this tip

from a number of different sources, and can't imagine why it would

work....but it does seem to have some kind of effect.
