We are a family of three, and 2 years ago at age 12, our daughter became a vegetarian (she still eats eggs and dairy, but makes sure the cheese is rennetless, and the eggs from cage free hens. We are planning on setting up an area in our yard for chickens, possibly). We, the parents, still eat meat/fish on occasion, but are trying hard to get away from it completely. I love the recipe section in the files and we'll be starting with Indian ones. Ever since I spent a few months in India in 1987, I've been hunting for the perfect Dhal recipe! One big question: About 6 months after our daughter became vegetarian, she developed eczema. I'm not sure if it's a coincidence or if she is missing something vital that's not in her diet. She takes a multi-vitamin, and eats two tablespoons of fortified, ground flax seed.
