It was mentioned that caffeine helps asthma - anyone

have experience with other things that help? I've been

using an inhaler for 8 yrs and would really really

like to stop.

Thanks,

Cheryl

I was told by a 'natural' practioner a number of years ago to drink coffee a

number of times a day (a specific number, sorry dont recall how many) when i had

walking pneumonia... it did help, i was surprised... but having asthmatics in

my family, i dont know that i'd feel comofortable not having an inhaler around,

just in case!

A very good thing when dealing with asthma is eating APPLES !!! The doctors

here is doing a looot of research in how to help yourself thrugh diet , and

i always ask what to eat and what to avoid. Lots of apples every day - and

it is helping !

I dont remmeber the explanation anymore, but have felt better after eating

more apples ! And need less medication !!!

Dosnt matter what sort of apples.

Its' funny how you hear so many different things. A

chiropractor I went to told me years ago that apples

were a number one trigger of allergies, even asthma.

I guess different things work for different people.

Finding the right one is the challenge

I really appreciate your help and suggestions. I still

eat apples but i'm always thinking about the allergy

thing. I notice i need my inhaler mostly after I eat.

I need to start keeping a food journal.

That's why they call it the " practice " of medicine. Even they are

still practicing. Isn't it amazing what kinds of things they have

discovered in the last 50-100 years? And still are!
