Guest guest
I know I will make a Quorn Roast, I sure did not like the Tofurkey brand. This year I want to try making cranberry sauce. I believe we will have all the regular trimmings too. Lily , " Marilyn Daub " <mcdaub wrote: > > Tofurky and all the trimmings!! > > Marilyn Daub > mcdaub > Vanceburg, KY > My Cats Knead Me!! Guest guest
Our family enjoys the tofurky. We only get it in the stores around here one time a year (Thanksgiving) whereas the Quorn roast is readily available pretty much everywhere all the time. We generally do a roast (in the past we have tried them all - tofurky, unturkey, quorn - in previous years), 2 soy chicken breasts, vegetarian gravy and stuffing made with unchicken broth, mashed potatoes, and apple pie. My husband and I don't like cranberries or yams so we forego those items. My father in law (going thru a divorce right now) has moved in with us (parked his RV in our yard and talking about building next door we own the 5 acre plot next to the one our house is on). He was talking last night about inviting my brother-in-law + his wife + 4 kids and my sister-in-law + her husband + 2 kids to our house for Thanksgiving. If they come maybe I'll make my famous lasagna for everyone to eat in addition to the other foods. I don't even want to think about having all those people in my house. Renee How low will we go? I have no interest in processed foods. It really doesn't matter to me if it " tastes " like meat or not. In all fairness, the rest of my family isn't vegetarian or vegan so I don't need to worry about pleasing other people who are used to eating meat. I imagine that is the point. But then again, it is about being together and being thankful for that and not about eating turkey or a " turkey-like substance " .
