Brewer's yeast is grainy and has a nutty taste, not suitable, imho, for sauces and many recipes requiring nutritional yeast. The nutritional yeast I've used is usually small to large " flakes " and can be purchased in bulk at Health Food stores. Doesn't require refrigeration. Nyeast has a more " mellow " B12-ish and kinda cheesy taste (great added in small amounts to tomato and other sauces, btw).
