If you can read (and if you're motivated), you can cook and after a while you develop enough confidence to play with a recipe...add something, take something out until it suits your palate. There's no law that says you have to follow a recipe to a fault. Not every meal may qualify for five stars in the beginning, but don't get discouraged. Learning to cook a new way takes practice. To use an old cliche, you can if you think you can! This have been proven to me time after time, not only in cooking but in many other areas of my life. Keep us informed on how it's going. Guest guest
I can manage Boca products. They are already cooked for me. <g> I made the lentil loaf tonight. It was just....ok! Not good, not bad... just ok! So, my two attempts into veggie cooking have not been the greatest. My husband seemed to like the loaf, saying it tasted like stuffing to him. Ha! Why is this? I guess it was the texture. I thought it was very bland tasting. I think I am doomed to peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. BTW...my first cookbook came today. It is American Wholefoods Cuisine. It has 1300 recipes. I won't live that long. Sue
