Guest guest
Now you have gone and done it!!! Much too visual for me....LOL...all I can see now is all of us as feral little birds trying to fit into one bird bath and kicking each other out of the way. As for roosting I can picture us sitting on our little eggs trying to keep Shawn trying to get an egg for himself. I am not good at sharing though. Pt, by the use of the term " feral " does that mean " wild " by the way? linda " cuppa_2u " <cuppa_2u > When I was browsing through the veggie sites on looking for > somewhere to roost, I read the above mission statement. The > words " general banter about being a vegetarian " drew me in like a bird > to a bath! Now, if you want recipes great, but beware that there are > those of us splashing about, and you may get a little damp.
Guest guest
Well, I don't know exactly, but I do volunteer work for Feral Cats of Oregon, and our working definition for a true feral cat is that it is a cat born out in the wild (so to speak) that has never had a human family (so to speak). They are rarely, and I mean rarely, capable of being tamed unless they are brought in while still babies, very small ones. The cats that were domesticated and lived with humans and then for one reason or another freed (runaway, lost, dumped) are capable very often of being re-socialized and adoptable. The grown feral cat is almost never adoptable as it is totally resistant to being socialized and will react feral to situations and is unpredictable. So that is where I get my definition of feral.... linda " Paula K Ward " <paulakward > I always thought " feral " meant that it was once tamed or domesticated, > but had returned to a wild state, even though maybe not in the original > environment PW
