Guest guest
Very Good Erin, I've succeeded in making soy yogurt, after a fashion, with the Fermented Treasures Fil Mjolk culture at 115 F. Seemed to have more white " yogurt " than yellow " whey " 2/3 to 1/3 by volume. I concentrated the precipitate through a filter paper in a strainer. But had almost no yogurt taste (like lightly fermented tofu) with a 12 hour fermentation. The " whey " was very sour and yogurt smelling. I'm going to try with the pectin next, to better combine the soy with the flavor and hopefully set it firmly with a vegan ingredient. But I'll pick this up in the other group. Thanks for the note, I should have searched for your group before. I moderate the first post of new members to keep out spammers, so if it takes a while for your first message to get through, just give it time. It's a small group and quiet group, but the folks there are always eager to answer newbie questions rather quickly.
