Guest guest
I am making potato salad today - it's supposed to be a good recipe but it's the first time I'm trying this one - the potatoes are marinating in the fridge even now. The thing is, I'd like to include some smoked paprika (I haven't road tested it yet) but I'm not sure how well it would meld with the herbs/flavors the recipe calls for. The recipe uses: apple cider vinegar (to marinate the warm potatoes) fresh tarragon (though I plan to use dried) cornichons (though I plan to use capers - but they're dill-like) parsley garlic mustard powder mayo (I'll use vegennaise, though the recipe prefers homemade mayo) red onion (which I will omit) celery kosher salt/freshly ground pepper red potatoes Would smoked paprika meld with these flavors? Or would it not be welcome to the party? Thanks to those of you with smoked paprika and/or spice blending experience! Sharon
