Guest guest
i dont think capers would work for tahini, LOL. I was thinking of making my own, but I dont know if I have enough sesame seeds, i'm quite sure I don't. I'm just going to have to break down and purchase a new bottle. I hate the store, LOL. The roasted stuff is probably a deeper, more nutty flavor. meg linda wrote: >Thank the goddess that you asked this question and included the dressing >recipe. Guest guest
Great! I had made a peanut sauce last night for noodles and wondered if I could use the tahini to replace the peanut butter. You have answered that one. I have one book by stepinak and will see if there are some recipes on line from her. I am off to the book store and will see if they have any of her recipes. Thanks! linda nadiana1 tahini is great in spreads and things. joanne stepinak's uncheese cookbook and nutritional yeast cookbook have some great cheeze spread recipes that use tahini. you can also use it in hummus. you can thin it out with a little water, add some soy sauce and a little sugar, and top noodles with it for sesame noodles. you can use it in place of peanut butter for baking. there's tons of things you can do with tahini! Guest guest
Hi LInda: You can also use it in Hummas, or to make a peanut sauce for pasta, veggies or tofu. Gayle
