Guest guest
I take the cooking liquid (the bean liquid) after cooking soybeans in my crockpot, and hold that for gravy. Next, I put some vegetable oil in a saucepan - about 2 tablespoons, and add about 2 tablespoons of flour. Cook it for a few minutes to get the raw wheat taste out of it, then pour in the bean cooking liquid. Stir rapidly with a whisk, so that it doesn't clump. It makes the MOST delicious gravy! My family loves it especially on top of baked potatoes! I'm not kidding here! It has a " meaty " taste that my newly converted daughter and husband love, and of course, I just love it because it is EASY and uses liquid I'd otherwise pour down the drain. annie Ah, but I was so much older then, I'm younger than that now.
