Guest guest Posted August 27, 2006 Report Share Posted August 27, 2006 Cabbage-Tomato Soup 4 cups vegetable broth 8 cups shredded cabbage 1 tsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1 onion, diced 1/4 cup tomato paste 1 tsp. lemon juice Add shredded cabbage to vegetable broth and cook over low heat in large sauce pan. Add sugar, salt and tomato paste. Stir and simmer for one hour, stirring occasionally. If you prefer a more soup-like consistency, add a bit more water. Add lemon juice and serve hot.
