Hi Jade :)

I don't know of any English Grandma that does not make Yorkshire

Pudding? FOTFLOL :)))))

They have all gone mad about making Yorkshire Pudding with their Sunday

Roast. Even my mother-in-law is still at it :(((

I still don't know why Heather's friend sent Marmite to USA, LOL :))))

Now that I know it is available in the USA, it makes it even worse :((((

Heather is in Spain this minute.

When she gets back in a fortnight, I will have to tell her to tell her

friend that it is available in the USA and there is no need to sent

Marmite to the USA for her friend.

Thanks for the heads-up, Jade.

I am grateful for the recipe :)

Hugs,

Wee :)

Custard/Yorkshire Pudding -Denise :)

Hi,

Just had to pipe in with excitement. I, too, was on the hunt for

several years to find vegan yorkshire pudding (My English grandmother

used to make it all the time and i LOVED it!) I found one last year. So

I thought I would post it....

Best,

Jade

p.s. We can get Marmite here in NYC, thank god!

Yorkshire Pudding

1 cup white self raising flour

1 cup wholemeal self raising flour (or use plain flour and add baking

powder)

1 t salt

2 egg replacers

1 cup soy milk

1 cup water

Knob of 'vegan lard' solid white vegetable fat (I'm sorry, oil will

NOT do!)

METHOD

1. Heat oven to maximum temperature. Melt the vegetable fat in a large

baking tray until piping hot. 2. Meanwhile, mix the dry ingredients

together. Hydrate the egg replacers according to instructions on packet

and stir in. Gradually add the water and soya milk and mix till smooth.

3. Pour into piping hot tin and bake for 20-25 mins, until golden brown

on top. Serve with roast veg, lots of gravy and Redwood 'Roast Beef'

(UK) or Tofurky Roast (US). Serves 4.

NOTES

This is not as fluffy as normal yorkshire pud, but the taste is spot

on.
