Guest guest
I am upset that I trusted this company to produce clean fresh packaged salad greens. We recently ate a bag of Earthbound Organic Field greens and today I hear that they are being recalled here in Colorado. Thank goodness we suffered no ill effects from this product. I would have been furious because I take precautions to stay healthy. My heart goes out to those who thought they were eating healthy and are now seriously ill. If we can't trust organic who can we trust? Deanna

Guest guest
THAT'S IT!!!! I'm going to start drinking Vodka all day, every day. Either it will kill the germs in anything I eat or I will be so damn drunk I won't notice or care if it doesn't!! Anyone who cares to join me we will start doing shots tonight accompanied with homebaked bread, hummus, black olives and grilled vegetables. You're all invited, please bring a bottle for breakfast..... Guest guest
Personally, I am shocked that any of you are buying veggies in a bag. I haven't done that for a long old time as I have heard that these types of issues will and obviously do arise with prepackaged veggies. sure it's convenient, but is it worth it? I wish I still had the reference as to why, but suffice it to say, that its been several years, round abouts, that I have purchased prepackaged veggie anything. Guest guest
I too do not purchased prepacked salad greens. The exception is mung bean sprouts, which only seem to come that way. Also, I buy frozen berries in bags. Do you make similar exceptions? Guest guest
Yep. Much the same as you. Have to buy frozen in bags. It's the fresh that you have a choice, well, usually. It's also an environmental thing. Less plastic used. Lynn On 9/19/06, Erin <truepatriot wrote: > > I too do not purchased prepacked salad greens. Guest guest
I almost always buy spinach in bags, because I have found they are hard to get all the gritty dirt off and they do such a great job with those bagged ones. I buy frozen fruits and veggie all the time. The fruit are quick to make smoothies with or cook the veggies to go with a meal. I do often buy choped broccoli at Sam's Club in large bags and Newman's Own Organic Baby Carrots and NOO Spring Salad Mix. I also buy 5 pack of Romaine Lettuce (whole) in bags from Sam's Club. I also buy the Fugi Apples in bags at Sam's Club. I just love those apples.........!!! Guest guest
Erin, A friend of mine sprouts mung beans in a jar by her sink. I've never tried it but she says it's easy. Have you tried it? Peace, Diane , " Erin " <truepatriot wrote: > > I too do not purchased prepacked salad greens. The exception is mung > bean sprouts, which only seem to come that way. Guest guest
No, though I've considered it. I guess I'm afraid I'll end up poisoning myself, which is " funny " considering I make my own kimchi and soy yogurt (and before going vegan, my own kefir and Caspian Sea Yogurt [CSY]). -Erin www.zenpawn.com/vegblog , " strayfeather1 " <otherbox2001 wrote: > > Erin, > > A friend of mine sprouts mung beans in a jar by her sink.
