Guest guest
a better kitchen. but barring that, i'm a total kitchen gadget slut. i bought all these things over 2 years ago that i haven't used yet: -one of those flamethrowers for making creme brulee -this doohickey that makes spiral slices -the pressure cooker i haven't baked bread in my bread machine in about that long, either-- although i used to use it all the time. i got into using ezekiel bread, and that stopped the breadmaking. i really should do a loaf sometime soon. and then have it with spiral-sliced, pressure-cooked, creme brulee. oh, and ice cream. my ice cream maker hasn't been used in about 2 years, either. i do use my vitamix a minimum of once daily, though. damn, i love that thing. my wish list changes all the time. right now, i would also like: -a waffle iron -a big, electric pancake griddle (can't find the heating unit to mine) -a pasta maker -a cuisinart -and a cotton candy maker (just for the hell of it-- a local vegan restaurant was making organic vegan cotton candy in one, and i thought, " ooo! " ) melody http://www.flawlessfitness.com http://www.melodysmusic.net

They're great for brown rice, wheat, beans and artichokes -- all essential to my well-being > my ice cream maker hasn't been used in about 2 years, either. I inherited mine from my mother. It hasn't been used for ~25 years. >i do use my vitamix a minimum of once daily, though. damn, i love that >thing. I got a Preethi " mixie " this last Solstice -- it's amazing! It reduced a mixture of coriander, roasted chiles, etc. to powder in about seven seconds. One of the recipes that came with it tells you to drop in a whole nutmeg. I haven't tried that yet, but have no doubt it's up to the job. >-a big, electric pancake griddle (can't find the heating unit to mine) I love my cast iron tawa (griddle) for dosas, tortillas, etc. >-a pasta maker If you have a Kitchenaid, you'd probably love the pasta roller attachment. It's made by Ampia Marcato (the same people who make the hand-crank machines) and you don't need three hands to use it. You can get a motor attachment for the hand-cranked kind too. It may seem superfluous, but it's really helpful if you don't have an assistant. >-and a cotton candy maker (just for the hell of it-- a local vegan restaurant >was making organic vegan cotton candy in one, and i thought, " ooo! Sorry to ramble, but this is one of my favorite subjects. >melody your sister in kitchen-gadget sluttery, Nancy
