Guest guest
Hi, My dd's birthday is in a couple of weeks and I plan to make the Diego cake on the Nick, Jr. website. I have limited sugary experience. Melting candies are called for and are to be melted and painted over a template. The candy then hardens and the shape can be placed on the cake without losing its shape. I cannot find an ingredient listing of the melting candies online. Does anyone know of a VEGAN source? Couldn't I use a double boiler and melt chocolate for the brown. Vegan Essentials have Dairy free " white chocolate " chips. Has anyone used them for this technique? Do they melt and then harden well (without separating, etc.)? I thought I could tint them if they melted well. I'm grateful for any vegan tips. Thanks for you help, Carrol
