Guest guest
Hi Debbie, It is different from bread yeast and from brewer's yeast. This link has definitions of many types of yeast: http://www.foodsubs.com/LeavenYeast.html but the basic difference is that brewer's yeast and nutritional yeast have been pasteurized and deactivated and can be eaten raw. Brewer's yeast is very bitter tho' but both are used as nutritional supplements. It's in the bulk bins at my grocery store, Fred Meyer. Probably any grocery with a good selection of bulk bins would have it there? I've never seen it other than in the bulk bins soI don't know if there's a packaged brand, I'm sorry. hth, Peace, Diane , Reed Deborah <debjreed wrote: > > Sorry but where can I find nutritional yeast and what > is the difference between that and the yeast that you > use for bread? > Debbie > > > > > > > > >
