Yes, I use a neti. And it should NOT sting!! If it is stinging (even first

time use) then the salt to water ratio is off (either too much salt, or not

enough).

Do you salt with the water? Try doing it more often until it gets to

a " maintaince " stage. There are some that are worse like takinga

dropper with ginger juice and honey.

I hated the neti at first, it stung and I choked. Now it's a daily

ritual and I love my neti just like my teddy bear.

Use approximatelly 1 tsp. salt for one quart of water. If one has a

lot of mucous, it may sting, then you need to do it more. If you

get a lot of mucous, then look for the causes. Exercise more

especially aerobic exercises. Diet has a lot to do with it. Look

for allergies.

Causes of mucous:

Overeating

bad food combining

allergies

candida ( white foods contribute to candida. sugar, honey, anything

sweet, dried fruit. cheese, dairy, flour(especially white

flour),etc.)

nit chewing enough stress

lack of exercise

eating between meals

eating at night
