Guest guest
Hi Stef. I've gone through that several times, lol. I wish I could tell you of any specific scents or appearances that indicate that the soy milk is bad, however I don't think I've come across any even when the expiration date has past. I'd have no probs at all opening up your container and pouring a glass to drink some of that chocolatey goodness. I've continued drinking (Silk) soy milk that had been " opened " past the expiration date. While I can't guarantee anything, I have consumed (Silk) soy milk past its expiration date on several occassions. Guest guest
I have had soy milk go bad on me after opening it and I drink it pretty quickly. I think in part it may be due to the transportation and holding temps prior to my buying it. It develops lumps, small ones to begin with and I notice it in my coffee which is the only way that I drink it. I use it in recipes of course, but I see the lumps in the coffee at the bottom of the cup. I will notice it because my coffee will have an off taste so now I look. I haven't noticed an off smell though so can't depend on that. Just my experience. Oh, I buy the kind that you have to refrigerate.
