Guest guest
Isn't it interesting how similar and also different some dishes are perceived from other cultural perspectives? i love learning from other people what dishes they enjoy eating and the ways they prepare them. When i had the pleasure of hosting two Romanian young ladies they shared with me over our dinner out at a local Mexican restaurant that they enjoyed the " salad " very much. They were talking about the fresh salsa that was placed on the table with the tortilla chips. We then got on the subject of what typically goes into a salad that might be served on a Romanian family table. They shared that their idea of a salad was more like what we call salsa, and that they don't often have a lot of green lettuces which would normally dominate a typical American salad. Anyway, just rambling, but i wanted to say how nice i thought it was that you had an opportunity to share a meal and learn this great Salvadoran salsa recipe first hand. That is so cool. ~ pt ~ When we let go of believing we are superior, we open ourselves to the experience of living in the community of Nature. ~ Philip and Stephanie Carr-Gomm, The Druid Animal Oracle ~~~*~~~*~~~> , Donnalilacflower < thelilacflower> wrote: > > I had my interior of the house painted and the painet was from El Salvador.
