Guest guest
Dear Janis & Lynn, Thanks for airing your opinions. I am touched by the serious nature in this matter. I am also shocked at this news regarding E-Coli contamination of spinach. If there is such an outbreak in UK, it is the responsibility of our Health Minister. I don't understand why this matter is allowed to continue especially when it matters most and human health is affected. I pray and hope this matter is resolve quickly and surely. However, I grow my own spinach and it takes 12-16 weeks for it to mature. I use rain water, I collected in my 200 litre water-butt, parked next to my greenhouse. I mulched the soil in case of hot days, so less water usage. People who practice unclean method of cultivation should be stop. Anything I can do here in UK that can help you guys out there, please...holler.
