Guest guest
I have a 7 yr old veg*n who has a milk allergy and she's starting soccer this year and my question is about how to handle snacks with the rest of the team (For those who aren't familiar with kids soccer they usually have a rotating snack schedule where each family brings some fruit and an after-game snack and drink during the season.) I know I've read articles about similar situations but can't find any. Should I just arrange to always provide my daughter's snack or should I maybe discuss with the coach/other parents that we have certain preferences/needs? I am thinking that if I choose the latter, in addition to making life easier for me, it might introduce a concept to the other families that they may have never considered before. I just don't want to come across as demanding that everyone cater to us and I especially don't want to single my daughter out as " different in a bad way. " Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to help me with this Shelly
