Guest guest
Hi Sue, If you don't mind a cookbook without photos I would heartily recommend " American Wholefoods Cuisine " by Nikki and David Goldbeck. My copy is just about falling apart from use. I have had it for about 20 years and it is definitely one of my all time favourites - and that's saying a lot as I own well over 1000 cookbooks. It was first published in 1983 but the recipes are fine for today. There could even be revised/updated versions available but I don't know that for sure. I'm also not sure if it is currently available in bookshops but I have just checked on Amazon and they have 35 copies (new/used) available from $14.49 to $21.95. Those prices are actually very reasonable. It just so happens that the price sticker is still on my book and I paid $AUS 17.95 all those years ago. The book has 580 pages and over 1300 easy to follow and easy to prepare recipes. I have never had a failure from any recipe I have made from this book. I hope this is helpful information. Good luck in your search. I would love to know which book you end up choosing. Cheers from Marie in Haarlem, Netherlands
