Guest guest
Unfortunately we don't get NBC and we don't have cable, so no watching the olympics for us. ~ PT ~ wrote: > 1. Guest guest
I love garlicky things so a sauce that is oozing with garlic and vegan on spaghettini (specifically) would make me happy. Love the salads, dressings, bread if veganized too all with a ton of garlic. Oh, bruchetta is great in season. Lots of garlic. I usually have to get them to specially prepare something that it is vegan and most places are happy to do so if they can. The breads can be problematic at Italian restaurants around here though. I love the ice skating of course and then just what ever is on with a few exceptions. I do know what you are speaking about with the Random Acts of Kindness, but I find that there are many such incidents daily if I just pay attention, but not quite what you are speaking of. The person that is courteous on the road, the person that gives me a smile or says hello even though a stranger. The person that holds the door open and lets me go in first. Things like that are what make my day more than anything else. The people who seem happy with the world and want to pass that on, or even if they are in a bad mood try to improve life a bit for everyone else with just a plain compassionate attitude. PAY IT FORWARD! I love people who have a skill that maybe they learned in the past who pass it on to others who would like to learn it and for absolutely no charge. That is rare anymore. To me " paying it forward " or " passing it on " is what it is all about. Those are the random acts of kindness to me. No, haven't done Valentine's day in a few years. But I make sure the men that are around remember it for their sweeties and bitch if they haven't done anything yet. Drives them batty. linda - " ~ PT ~ " <patchouli_troll 1. Such fiery zest and precision changes of direction I try to be kind to all...all the time...but random...yes I am helping someone by accompanying them through officialdom when otherwise it would be overpowering...though I did not know it was 'Random Acts of Kindeness Week' I am looking at a work of art...a trio of red roses set in a tall vase with a twisted willow...from Seattle to Somerset...ooooooh ...
